the Addams Family: Pugsley's Scavenger Hunt - Nintendo Entertainment System (NES)

    This title is based on the Addams Family animated series in 1992. This is much, much better than the first movie tie in game I've previously reviewed. You play as Pugsley. Your goal is to explore the Addams mansion to rescue your family. Stomp on enemies, collect treats, find hidden areas and defeat bosses. This game is hard, but a fun kind of hard. The controls are tight and responsive. It just takes some patience. I'm a fast thinking and forward kind of girl, so I don't do well with slow pacing. They've learned their lesson from the last game and left out music for most gameplay. No more 8-Bit rendition of the Addams Family theme song. That only plays on the game's title screen.

    The game is hard, but short. If you know what you're doing, you can beat it under forty minutes. If you like the Addams Family franchise and got a hour to pass, this game is alright to play. There are worse games on the NES library.
